Our March Madness over the years

Our March Madness over the years

We are what is known as a “house divided.” In our house, the smart family members cheer for UNC, the less smart cheer for DOOK. There was even a Duke magazine article written about our family. Apparently it was one of the magazines in the husband’s clinic, and patients would say “hey I saw your family in the magazine in the waiting room.”

Neither of our children care about college basketball, which is probably best for their blood pressure and overall healthy living during the month of March, but the husband and I are still died hard, bad sport, trash talking fans. Here are some pics from our March Madness over the years.

March is the month of the year he would be my “least favorite son.”

My girl always wore “all the things” in March to help UNC come out on top. However, Smooch eating my 1995 college pom pom didn’t end well (those blue strands came back out, but not from her mouth).

2019 was a good year for the Heels. We were at the green sand beaches of Hawaii when they won. I was trying to watch from my phone with crappy cell service. I knew we had won when the husband threw his phone on the car dash.

2022 seemed like a promising year, but that joke of the “Coach K curse” seems very real after the last few seasons. How long will his rat face haunt us?’
