A wise teacher friend @courttuck shared on social media yesterday that we should all be checking in with our teacher friends. Their working conditions are pretty much worse than any other profession, and their job is the most important for our future. So this morning, I checked in on a teacher I’ve been working with since January. To call her a rock star would be a gross understatement. So I’m challenging all of my friends to check in on a teacher friend. They deserve all of our support ❤️

I was digging through some old teaching materials this morning and found these books. I used to teach writing, but more of the technical stuff (FAN BOYS for commas before coordinating conjunctions. For And Nor / But Or Yet So). Note: sing to the tune of the Cops song Bad Boys, Bad Boys if you want some super cringy laughs from adolescents.

My landscaping assistant. She is somewhat helpful, but she needs to work on her spreading skills. Not very even just yet.
